Thermocouples with protective tube

Thermocouples with ridgid protective tubes are available with ceramic or metal protective tubes with various diameters and at any desired length.

1. Measuring insert
Thermocouples with rigid protective tubes are produced either with an exchangeable mineral insulated thermocouple measuring insert or with a thermocouple insulated by ceramics. They must be protected against contamination, corrosion and / or abrasive influences from the surrounding conditions. The correct material of the protective tube essentially determines the lifetime of the thermocouple. We also supply single measuring inserts, if the protective tube is still intact.

2. Materials
We keep in stock all normally used materials and dimensions of immersion type protective tubes (15 x 2mm, 22 x 2mm etc.), as well as screw-in type protective tubes (9 x 1mm, 11 x 1mm etc) with thread G1/2", G3/4", G1".

For special versions or operating conditions (e.g. very high pressure, aggressive mediums), we offer protective tubes of special materials.

3. Connection head
Depending on the diameter of the protective tube, the thermocouples are provided with connection heads type A or B for a maximum temperature of 180°C. For higher temperature ranges, connection heads of grey cast iron, together with a high-temperature casting compound, are used at temperatures up to max 300°C.

4. Tolerances
The voltage of the thermocouples are in accordance with DIN EN 60584, class 1 or 2. We provide a works test certificate or an official DKD test certificate for all thermocouples produced in our facility or by other manufacturers.
