Fittings for mineral insulated thermocouples or resistance thermometers are used when a safe and secure access is needed at the measuring process. The immersion depth of the sensor can be chosen as desired, thereby facilitating a positioning of the sensor. Our fittings are made of stainless steel 1.4571.
Fittings can be used with a sensor diameter between 0.5mm and 8.0mm, where a stainless steel V-ring is applied for temperatures up to 600°C and a teflon clamp ring for temperatures up to 260°C.
The stainless steel V-ring presses itself into the sheath of the mineral insulated cable, thereby forming a nearly inseparable closure. It withstands about 40 bar.
The teflon clamp ring can be reused, that means you can easily open the fitting and slide the sensor up and down as you like. It withstands about 10 bar.
The normal thread for smaller fittings is M8 x 1, but we also have M6 x 1, M10 x 1, G1/4", G1/2" and various NPT on stock, with stainless steel V-rings or teflon clamp rings.
