Mineral Insulated Thermocouples

TMH produces mineral insulated thermocouples with diameters ranging from 0.15mm to 8.00mm. Every order will be manufactured individually. You may thus order any length and any diameter, with compensation cable, thermocable or with different connectors. We further offer a big variety of the most common thermocouples that we keep in stock for our customers.

1. Type of thermocouple
Type K, N, J, L, T, S, B, C, and more

2. Sheath material
Our two standard sheath materials are stainless steel (1.4541, up to 850 degrees Celsius) and Inconel (2.4816, up to 1300 degrees Celsius). If you need a special sheath material (for higher temperatures or special applications), we can manufacture mineral insulated thermocouples with sheath material platinum, molybdenum, Nicromil and more.

3. Available diameters
0.15mm, 0.25mm, 0.50mm, 0.75mm, 1.00mm, 1.50mm, 1.60mm, 2.00mm, 3.00mm, 3.20mm, 4.50mm, 6.00mm, 8.00mm

4. More options
Normally, the thermocouple wire-pair is insulated from the sheath of the mineral insulated thermocouple (picture a, ungrounded). Upon request, the wire-pair can also be grounded to the sheath (picture b) in order to improve the response time (no extra charge).

Verschweißung Thermopaar

With diameters of 1.00mm or larger, we also offer mineral insulated thermocouples with two thermocouple wire-pairs (for example 2x NiCr-Ni), for example in order to use a data logger and a printer at the same time with only one thermocouple. With diameters of 3.0mm or larger, three thermocouple wire-pairs (3x NiCr-Ni) are available.

5. Tolerances of the Thermocouples
TMH only uses class 1 thermocouple material acc. to DIN EN 60584. We also offer two kind of calibration certificates, a works certificate and an (official) DKD certificate.
